ABOUT SWAN RICHARDS

As co-founder of Crusaders Cricket Australia and former CEO of Gray- Nicolls Australia for 20 years, Swan Richards OAM is a wealth of Cricket Knowledge. Starting his career at Rowe & Jarman Sports Store at the age of 12, they taught him the beginning of the trade by doing Cricket Bat repairs. In 1968, Mr. Len Newbery, CEO of Gray-Nicolls UK, made a visit to Adelaide to look at the prospects of setting up Gray-Nicolls Australia. They offered Swan to go to UK and learn all about Bat making – from tree felling to making the complete bat.
